If anyone is having problems with animals, the closest animal control is located in Atlanta.(about 25 minutes north of Fairview).

Building Department
The Building Department is where people can if they needed an inspection of a building permit, zoning permit, or soil erosion applicants. They are also in charge of the Rental Housing Program.

Chamber of Commerce
Fairview doesn’t have its own chamber of Commerce, but there is an Oscoda Chamber of Commerce. A Chamber of Commerce is where business owners can go, or a student interested in business. They organize the businesses in which they are assigned.

Community Mental Health
AuSable Valley Community Mental Health Center is located in Mio.

The County Maintenance is in charge of the roads, parks, county buildings, and sidewalks.

The DNR is responsible for fishing, game, and wildlife management. They also give out burn permits for people.

The Heath Department monitors the health and welfare of the community. They give immunizations, check-ups, and they do WIC appointments.

The library is where people would go if they needed to look for a book to read. They also have education videos available to the public. Fairview doesn’t have a library but Oscoda County does have one and it is located in Mio.
